Most of us are pretty good at fixing things. We make plans, work harder, and look for solutions. But sooner or later, we face something we can’t fix—a wound we can’t heal, a mistake we can’t undo, or a pattern we can’t break by willpower alone. These moments can be frightening because they expose the limits of our ability to save ourselves.

But this is precisely where grace meets us.

Grace is God doing for us what we cannot do for ourselves. It meets our guilt with forgiveness, our shame with love, our bondage with freedom, and our broken relationships with reconciliation. We don’t have to earn it or prove that we deserve it. We simply open our hands and receive what God has already offered in love.

Over the next five days, we’ll explore what it means to stop carrying the burden of saving ourselves, trust the God revealed in Jesus, and receive the gift of grace that leads to peace.
