What if the biggest challenge facing Christianity today isn’t what we believe—but how we live?

I am excited to share the official trailer for my first book, What Christians Do: Living Like Jesus in a Divided World, which is being released by Abingdon Press on October 6, 2026.

Many Christians believe in Jesus, but believing in Jesus and living like Jesus are not always the same. In a culture marked by fear, outrage, and division, the gap between what Christians profess and how we treat one another has become increasingly difficult to ignore.

A Faith That Changes How We Live

What Christians Do calls us back to the heart of discipleship—not simply believing the right things, but following Jesus and becoming more like him in everyday life.

The book explores six scripturally grounded practices that God can use to form us in the image of Christ:

  • Surrender
  • Forgiveness
  • Empathy
  • Mercy and justice
  • Wrestling with God
  • Sharing faith

These practices invite us into a faith that is not afraid of difficult questions or complex problems. It’s a faith that transforms us so we can help transform the world—a way of life marked by love, compassion, humility, courage, justice, mercy, and grace.

Available for Preorder

If this message resonates with you, please share the trailer with friends, pastors, small groups, and churches who might appreciate this conversation.

I’ll be sharing more in the coming months about why I wrote the book, the practices it explores, and how individuals and churches can use it. Subscribe to RevMarkReynolds.com to receive those updates as we move toward publication day.
