Receiving God’s grace is not the end of our spiritual journey but the beginning of a new way of life.
God forgives us, restores our relationship with him, sets us free, and gives us the Holy Spirit. But that doesn’t mean every destructive habit vanishes, every wound heals instantly, or every fear loses its power. We receive grace, yet we may still struggle with the same anxieties, resentments, temptations, and ways of thinking.
This doesn’t mean grace has failed.
Like physical therapy after an operation, spiritual transformation usually unfolds through small, faithful actions repeated over time. The Holy Spirit provides the power, and we learn to cooperate. As we pray, abide in Christ, practice his teachings, and take the next faithful step, new patterns begin to take shape. These patterns reshape our character and gradually restore our freedom to live and love like Jesus.
Over the next five days, we will explore the new life that grace makes possible. Each day will invite you to reflect on the Holy Spirit’s transforming work and to take one practical step toward greater freedom, healing, peace, and love.
You don’t have to change everything at once. You don’t have to become perfect by the end of this week. Simply remain open to God and ask.
Where is the Spirit inviting me to take one small step?
Grace meets us where we are and leads us to become who we were created to be.
