Some seasons of life remind us that we are not nearly as strong or in control as we would like to believe. We find ourselves caught in circumstances we cannot change, wrestling with emotions we cannot simply turn off, or returning to old patterns we thought we had finally left behind. We pray, try to trust God, and keep moving forward, yet the current still feels stronger than we are.

Romans 7-8 speaks directly to those moments, not by offering easy answers or promising that faith will make the struggle disappear, but by reminding us that we do not face it alone. The Spirit meets us in our weakness, helps us when we don’t even know how to pray, and holds us in a love that suffering, failure, grief, and even death cannot overcome.

This five-day devotional invites you to slow down and spend time with these promises. Each day focuses on a different part of Paul’s message, giving you space to reflect honestly on your life, listen for the Spirit, and practice trusting God’s grace in the midst of whatever you are carrying.

You don’t need to have everything figured out before you begin. Bring your questions, weariness, hope, and even your struggle.

God will meet you there.
